Tip: "Too" and "Very" express degrees, but they are used differently:
• Use "very" to intensify an adjective or adverb in a positive or neutral way. (meaning “muito” / “very”)
Example: She is very tall. (This means she is tall, but not excessively.)
• Use "too" to show that something is excessive or goes beyond a desired limit. (meaning “demasiado” / “too”)
Example: This coffee is too hot. (It’s hot, and that is uncomfortable or undesirable.)
Why is this important?
"Too" and "very" are common words, but using them incorrectly can completely change the meaning of your sentence — from a neutral idea to a negative one.
